The love of homes and housing has always existed within our family. Some of us routinely marched in the Parade of Homes and took pictures of wood floors and mud rooms and large bathtubs, drooling over how it would look in our own homes. Others have imagined, in detail, building their own house, designing rooms, and more. When our business started, the name came along after a funny encounter on a family vacation. AJ had an accidental slip referring to Josh as his “honey” and the Honey Brothers were born...brothers by blood and sisters by chance. As our family business has grown, it became more important that our name fit all of us. It’s been said that only the brothers are the business…but behind every successful man is a team of women kicking butt. And Hive Lane was born. The newest addition to the Pettersen crew, Caitlin has thus far made a living supporting the needs of others with career stops in both high school mental health and residential real estate lending. She's the perfect person to chase around all of our contractors and tenants at the same time as she's chasing whatever new batch of animals is living with her and Luke.
She's our head of tenant management and makes sure our tenants and our properties are feeling good!

Dislikes: turning over tenants, also beans (I know, weird, right? A match made in Heaven. At least on chili night. How long is this parentheses moment?!)

Luke parlayed a successful baseball career and business degree into a thriving real estate business. In that career, he's developed an expertise in not only in helping people find their dream home, but also in identifying great investment opportunities for our team.
He leads all efforts acquisition with a focus on finding properties in our target neighborhoods that need our touch, and supports AJ through the project management process.

Our resident Doctor, Kristen devotes her life to helping people be the most authentic version of themselves at her mental health practice. Her spare time is spent with Josh, Adelle & Milo back in their old stomping grounds in Minnetonka.
As our most organized team member, Kristen leads all of our team meetings and ensures we stay on topic and on time, as well as helping map out key processes and roles. Kristen is also part of our social media/design team.
Likes: enormous bowls of popcorn, open floorplans, the ocean breeze

Emily spent her early days (and nights) working as a labor and delivery nurse where she helped countless mom's bring new life into the world. She now spends her days with her three kiddos, while supporting social media and design for AJ’s real estate Insta, and her nights watching bad TV with AJ and working on their forever home.
She is the designer and social media specialist on our squad and has a knack for creating clean and minimalist modern spaces that bring new life to homes that we buy.

Josh started his career at Target where he was given opportunities to learn many different business types and developed a passion for taking on new challenges. That passion is what led him to want to jump into real estate investing and then leave his corporate career to help people find their own homes full time.
He currently fills most non-house related roles, running our contracts, finance, IT and collections 'departments'.
Likes: Twins baseball, family trips, buying wine, clean spreadsheets

AJ left a career in professional baseball to become a real estate agent in 2014 and shortly thereafter developing an intense passion for all things house related. It started with selling houses & doing some DIY projects and quickly escalated into larger home renovation projects and a desire to become a real estate investor.
He runs point all of our transformations and is the reason our before and after photos end up turning out so well!
Likes: cutting grass, boxed wine, team meeting tangents, bad reality TV
